How Long Should I Stay In The Gym?

We are constantly being told a short workout is better than a longer one and then a longer one will burn more calories than a shorter one.  When you combine this conundrum with being exposed to new and better workout routines, from 10 minute workout routines to 6 minute abs to training until you pass out all the way to endurance running on the treadmill, you can see why some people feel guilty when they leave the gym at all!

Assuming that you are actually working out the entire time you’re at the gym, and not sitting at the juice bar or leaning on the bench press talking about your weekend, you can get a quality workout in without having to call in sick from work!     

While some people recommend 45 minutes. With a good workout program that is kept intense (short rest periods) and challenging (heavy enough weight to perform all reps per set with difficulty), and consists of 5 exercises (recommended). You should be out of the gym in about 60 - 90 minutes.
