When you’re a natural lifter (non steroids) there is no difference. There has been a growing misconception of a disassociation with muscle size and strength. The “size” is the vastness of muscular scar tissue, and the “strength” is the density of muscle fibers.
If you follow a good workout routine and keep your workouts challenging and intense, (Challenging - refers to the weight used during each set. Intense - refers to the duration of rest and difficulty of the movement.) you will definitely grow in size and strength. It can’t do anything but happen, but you have to keep the workouts intense and challenging. Remember those two words: Intense and Challenging. As soon as the workout gets too easy, you need to increase the weight and/or shorten rest periods.
That’s it. Don’t read the muscle magazines…and don’t take tips from people you suspect of steroid use. Steroid users have a completely different body hormonal chemistry from natural lifters. Keep with it, and don’t forget a Proper Diet! But that’s a topic for another time.
Good luck, be patient and remember INTENSE and CHALLENGING!!
