How To Workout Like A Male Model

Speaking from experience of doing some modeling back in the day, I can tell you something that my agent told me. “Nobody wants you [Photographers, casting agents] if you’re huge, so don’t get huge.” Now she could have been talking about two things here: not getting overweight or about those gains.

I knew she meant the latter, so I became conscious of what induces mass gain over lean mass gain. Gaining mass for mass’s sake is to take on the strongman or power lifter physique, as long as you can lift a lot of weight your physique is irrelevant. To gain lean mass, or do as the bodybuilder does (without getting huge), means:

  • Following A Traditional Workout Regimen (sets x reps)
  • Including Daily Cardio
  • Following A Strict Diet Plan

WORKOUT REGIMEN

Follow a workout routine and keep the workout Intense and Challenging. Try out our Workout Generator for over 150 trillion free workout routines; the average workout time is about 65 minutes.

Challenging means that for every rep of every set you’re using a weight that requires maximum effort to properly perform the movement.

Intense means that you are keeping rest between sets to a minimum, about 2 minutes between each set. Listen to your body; if you feel like you need more rest then take it, if you’re ready to go after 30 seconds that’s even better!

DAILY CARDIO

Around 20 - 60 minutes of daily low intensity cardio, including: Treadmill, biking, stationary bike, stair master, walking, etc. The key is to keep it low intensity, and if you can do it fasted, (before your first meal) even better.

DIET PLAN

Eat high quality proteins, fats, and carbohydrates.

Good sources of protein are foods like fish (Salmon, and Sardines), chicken, and beef. For your meats try and get organic and grass-fed if possible.

Good sources of fats are foods like olive oil (uncooked is best), coconut oil (uncooked), avocados, almonds, and butter.

Good sources of carbohydrates are foods like potatoes (all types), quinoa, brown rice, 100% whole grain macaroni, and various beans.

All of your meals should be a combination of these three macro ingredients. Mix in a good amount of fruits and vegetables (vitamins and minerals) and you’ll have a great balanced diet that will be more conducive for muscle development.

If you’re interested in becoming a Male Model, I hope the best for you! It’s competitive and requires a lot of dedication. If you’re heart is in it you will love every minute of it!

Nobody wants you if you’re huge, so don’t get huge.
