Muscles get bigger after a workout because the muscles that are being focused on are being repeatedly pumped with blood, water, and other bodily fluids involved during the recruitment of the muscle.
Liquids are being pumped in to help lubricate, lactic acid is being built up, and most importantly blood is being rushed into the muscle to deliver more oxygen for the higher demand of the use of that muscle!!
So when you walk out of the gym with bloated arms on arm day, lats on back day, or butt cheeks on leg day…you are feeling what bodybuilders call “The Pump”!
Science!
Muscles get bigger after a workout because the muscles that are being focused on are being repeatedly pumped with blood, water, and other bodily fluids.
